What are hemorrhoids and how to cure them?

Hemorrhoids are nothing but bulging or dilated veins of the anus and rectum that are caused by increased pressure upon the rectal veins. These are commonly known as piles. They generally appear due to pressure, which may be caused due to lifting of heavy objects, constipation, and excess pushing during child birth.
The condition of hemorrhoids worsens when a person suffering from the ailment sits down or visits the bathroom. So you can imagine the irritations and frustration inflicted upon the person. And in some cases of hemorrhoids, the inflamed blood veins and vessels actually burst and results in bleeding hemorrhoids. Bleeding hemorrhoids are very painful and also give way to blood clots.

• Processed foods should be completely avoided and food items rich in fibers should be consumed.
• The anal and rectal area should be kept clean and dry by making use of mild soap.
• One should drink lots of water and consume meals on time.
• One should never delay or prevent a bowel movement.
